He went to all the of the rivers and lakes

and kept on submerging little bones of fish.

They became the suckerfish and trout

He travelled from downriver, where he started

and he was going along it/followed all the way upriver.

“You shall be pink salmon.”

“Qex̱éthet chap cha."
“You will multiply yourselves.”

He told them:
“léwe chap cha sthéqi
You will be Chinook
tl’o chap cha qex̱éthet"
you will multiply yourself (make yourself many)
