We did not have tea from Asia in traditional times, of course, but we have always made herbal teas from local plants. Salmonberries, which we call elíle (or elíl:álhp for the plant) were one of the main plants we would use for teas, which we would make from the leaves of the plant, though we also used crabapple, blackberry, rasberry, and rosebud. It was common to pick the whole branch from a tree and hang it upside down to dry for making tea.
