When He/She/It (or a Separate Noun) is the Receiver

When he, she, it (or a separate noun) is the receiver ('object') of the action or state expressed by the verb, then there is no need to add any receiver -ending onto the verb.

For example, note how the verb máyt (to help) has no endings for the receiver in these cases:

(1) (a) Tsel máyt tútl'ó. I helped him.

(b) Tsel máyt thútl'ó. I helped her.

(c) Tsel máyt te swíyeqe. I helped the man.

Since, as you know, verbs like máyt automatically imply a receiver even if none is expressed in the sentence, you will find translations like these:

(2) Tsel máyt. I helped him/her/it [who it is, is understood from context]
