To say You did not... in Halq'eméylem, you use the pattern shown in (3). Some examples are shown in (4).

Saying 'I Did Not'
To say I did not... in Halq'eméylem, you use the pattern shown in (1). Some examples are shown in (2).

Note also that all of these sentences in (2) could also be translated equally well in the present tense (I do not ...); as with most sentences in Halq'eméylem, context alone is usually enough to figure out if you are talking about the past or present.
When translating sentences like this, it is important to remember to translate the éwe here as not. Even though éwe does also means no, the correct translation for these kinds of sentences is to translate éwe as not.
