He was, He Got
To say He was VERBED or He got VERBED in Halq'eméylem, you add an -em ending onto the verb. Here are some examples.

He froze it. He got frozen.
(c) Máytes tútl'ó. (d) Máytem tútl'ó.
He helped him/her. He was helped.
(e) Íwestes tútl'ó. (f) Íwestem tútl'ó.
He taught him/her. He was taught.
-Em alone does not actually specify the sex of the person who gets VERBED. All of the sentences above can be read to mean She was... or It was..., depending on context.
